I am proud and excited to announce the birth of Ben Wasser Guitarworks!
For those who knows my story, 12 years ago I decided to a make a major change in my life and become a guitar builder. I was then lucky enough to meet with Master luthier Jacob Algrenati and attend his lutherie course in Tel-Aviv. Afterwards, it took me 4 years of practicing to realize my dream and create La Grange Guitars. Since then, it has been such an exciting journey. Every single day has brought new challenges.
For a small operation like mine, the Covid was a real threat but on the other side it gave me the opportunity to take a break and draw lessons from my first decade as a luthier and to redefine my vision and the means to carry it out.
This reflection led me to decide to take my business to a new path, starting with a new brand name and with the creation of an instrument that would best reflect my new vision and my skills acquired over the years. And so, the new model – The Shaft – was born. It took me almost a year to finalize the design and “wow” do I love it! I will still carry my Wheel and Grand Wheel models as the models of “La Grange Series”. They are not going anywhere, they are part of me.
This announcement is a great opportunity to thank you all for the support over the years. None of this would have been possible without you!
